April 17-18 witnessed the success of Linworld 7th China International Anti-Corruption Compliance Summit 2023 in Shenzhen Anthea Hotel, Shenzhen, China. During the two-day event, over 30 speakers from Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau, Siemens, BSI, Ericsson, BBC, Ernst & Young, KPMG, PwC, Deloitte, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, Zhong Lun Law Firm, Trace International, HSBC, Fangda Partners, Medtronic, LyondellBasell, King & Wood Mallesons, Han Kun Law Offices, Clarios, Novo Nordisk, Würth, Voith, Valmet, Wipro, etc., gave their practical insights in how to enforce your compliance systems when bribery schemes was getting more and more sophisticated.
With close communication and merger between Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area cities, this area had developed at an incredible speed. In that case, the establishment of well-organized compliance systems became a top priority to local and multinational companies operating in this area. Within that context, ACC Shenzhen came up to promoting the developments of anti-corruption corporates compliance systems in Greater Bay Area.
The following four parts are the themes for the captioned event.

Part Three: How to use new technology to help fight corruption and other risks. In this section, in-house counsel from LyondellBasell, HSBC, top lawyers from Zhong Lun Law Firm, Fangda Partners, and leading experts from Ernst & Young, PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, and BSI sat together to discuss how to use ISO37301 and latest technology such as AI, machine learning, big data dashboard, Chatgpt to help fight corruption and how to deal with China’s Data Protection Law. “It was a great experience to attend an ACC conference gathering EY, KPMG, PwC, Deloitte.”, some delegates commented.
Part Four: Culture of compliance journey, industry veterans from Ericsson, BBC, Clarios, Würth, Valmet shared their experience in how to truly enable employees to accept compliance culture and implement it practically in their own initiative and how to promote a speak-up culture in China. “Compliance training and culture fostering is really essential part of our daily work, this kind of sharing is quite valuable.” This is the voice from our participants.
Hundreds of participants from Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area cities, Beijing, Shanghai and abroad attended the event and over 95% of participants provided positive feedback to the event and expect to attend next one in Shenzhen so that they can get another chance to learn from governmental officials, elite lawyers, compliance veterans and top partners from Big Four.
Although the event is closed, however the discussion of the above-mentioned topics is still going on.
